Biography
Called to the Ontario bar in 2012
Seher joined Basman Smith LLP in 2014 and practices in corporate/commercial, real estate, and estate planning/administration law. Seher acts for clients in a wide variety of corporate/commercial transactions, including incorporations, share and asset acquisitions and sales, corporate reorganizations and secured lending transactions, as well as contractual matters. She also advises small and growing businesses and not-for-profit organizations on their corporate compliance and disclosure obligations. In her real estate practice, Seher assists clients with their residential and commercial property purchase, sale, and leasing transactions. Seher advises individuals and families on their estate planning needs, including the preparation of wills, powers of attorney, and trust agreements, as well as estate administration. Seher obtained her undergraduate degree in business management from York University in 2007. She received numerous awards and scholarships for her academic and voluntary achievements and graduated with Magna Cum Laude distinction. In 2011, she obtained her law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School where she was the recipient of the R.E. Holland, Q.C. Award. As an active member of the Osgoode community, Seher co-founded and managed the Real Estate and Tax Law Associations, served as a Senior Editor of the Osgoode Hall Law Journal, and volunteered with the Community Legal Aid and Services Program. Seher is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Ontario Bar Association. As a long-serving volunteer with the Ontario Justice Education Network, she enjoys educating and mentoring high school youth in the practice of law. Seher spends her spare time with family and friends, trying new restaurants, and travelling around the world.
