Biography

Called to Ontario bar in 2000

Audrey received her LL.B. from Queen's University in 1998 and was called to the Ontario bar in 2000. She holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in history, as well as a Master of Library Science (M.L.S.) degree. Audrey joined Basman Smith in 2002 and became a partner in 2005, where she practices exclusively in the area of family law. She represents and assists parties in all aspects of family law matters, including negotiating domestic agreements, resolving issues of property, custody and access, child support and spousal support. She has specific expertise in the area of private adoptions. Audrey regularly appears before all levels of court in Ontario on behalf of her clients, as well as at mediations and arbitrations. Audrey’s clients appreciate her common sense and cost-effective approach in demystifying and resolving conflict. Audrey is certified in the practice of Collaborative Law and is a member of Collaborative Practice Toronto. She is a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, the Canadian Bar Association's Ontario Family Law Section and the Women's Law Association of Ontario. Audrey is a volunteer lawyer with the Na' amat Legal Clinic and is a former member of the Aidsbeat planning committee and the Board of Directors of Delisle Youth Services. Audrey is married and is the proud mother of three children.
